facebook hat geschrieben:Jon’s earliest involvement with music began when he sang in the church youth choir led by his mother.
From an early age she instilled in him an appreciation for music and love for singing. Soon after he took up guitar and bass,
which eventually led him during High School to perform in various original and cover bands with his childhood best friend,
Taylor Hawkins (currently the drummer for the Foo Fighters). In fact, it was Taylor who gave Jon the nickname Juano that has stuck to this day.

Jon then attended the Art Institute of Seattle to study audio and video production where he landed the gig of bassist for the popular Northwest
group Sky Cries Mary. Throughout the ‘90s he continued recording and touring with the band. Some highlights of the time were traveling to Japan,
appearing on such late night talk shows as Conan O’brian and the Jon Stewart show, and, through Microsoft in 1995, being the first group in
recorded history to perform an entire concert as a live internet broadcast (beating the Rolling Stones by one week).

In 1998 Jon met his soon to be wife Maewe in Seattle at a meditation circle. He then became not only a husband but a father to her son, Aleph.
In 2001 the family decided to move for a year to Maewe’s and Aleph’s home of Brazil where Jon had the privilege of absorbing a different culture
with it’s vibrant heritage of music. While living there, he backed on bass a recording and performing artist by the name of Ronald Augusto.

The family has since lived in Jon’s hometown of Laguna Beach while he has remained a member of Sky Cries Mary and has also enjoyed paying
tribute to Yes - one of his greatest musical inspirations - as the lead singer in Roundabout. In 2009, the symphonic progressive rock band
Glass Hammer discovered Jon singing Yes music online and asked him to join the band as "the voice we were always writing music for", said
founding members Steve Babb and Fred Schendel. He has since recorded two albums with them, "If" and "Cor Cordium", both having received
many great reviews in the prog rock world.

Currently, the original members of Queen, Roger Taylor and Brian May are putting together a tribute band in a production called The Queen Extravaganza,
in which Jon was selected as a semi-finalist for the role of bass guitarist. After a period of public voting (http://www.queenextravaganza.com) the results
will be revealed by November 30th.

Witzige Idee, seine Kinder offensichtlich alphabetisch benennen zu wollen. Sollte Sproß Nr. 2 ein Mädchen werden, müsste es logischer Weise Beth heißen.
